Admin Panel (Super Admin)
The staff-only control room behind Joby. See every company on the platform, switch features on and off for one of them, handle trials, plans and invoices, and change the settings that apply to everybody.
You'll need Owner or Admin access for this.

What it is
The Admin Panel is a separate area of Joby that only Joby's own staff can open. Where a normal customer sees their own company, the Admin Panel shows every company using Joby, and gives you the buttons to help them: turn a feature on, stretch a trial, fix a payment problem, or close an account down.
You open it from Admin Panel at the very top of the left menu inside the CRM. It replaces the whole screen with its own dark-headed layout called Joby Admin, with its own menu down the left. To come back to the normal CRM, use Switch to CRM at the bottom of that menu.
Staff only
If your login is not a Joby staff login, the Admin Panel menu item is not there, and typing the address sends you back to your own dashboard.
One company at a time
Almost everything you change lives on a single company's page. Global switches are kept apart, under Settings and Pricing.
Real consequences
Suspending locks every user of that company out immediately. Deleting removes their jobs, calls and logins for good. Both make you type a confirmation word first.
When to use it
- A customer asks for a feature they cannot see — switch it on for them on the Modules tab.
- A trial is about to run out and the customer needs a few more days.
- You want to unlock the Pro features for an evaluation without touching what they pay.
- A payment failed and you need to see the invoice and chase it.
- Someone signed up but never logged in, and you want to know which accounts to call.
- A text message will not send and you need to check where their carrier registration is stuck.
- You are closing an account down, or clearing out old test companies.
- You want the platform-wide numbers: how much is coming in, what it costs, which companies are busiest.
Do not use the Admin Panel to do a customer's everyday work for them. Nothing here creates jobs, sends messages or edits a customer's own settings — for that you need to be inside their account.
Before you start
- Your login must be a Joby staff login. This is not something a customer can be granted from their own Settings›Team Roles page — it is set for you by Joby. Without it the menu item is hidden and the address bounces you back.
- Know which company you are looking at. Every company has a number (shown as # in the list) and a name. Use the number in conversations — names get duplicated.
- Have a reason ready. Suspending or activating a company asks you to type why. Granting Pro access has an optional reason box. Write something a colleague would understand in six months.
- Check whether the company is linked to another one. A violet Linked parent or Linked child badge means its plan, usage and credits may be drawing from a different company. Changing billing on the wrong half of a pair is the easiest mistake to make here.
- Older links still work. Anything you have bookmarked under the old
/super-adminaddress is forwarded to the new/adminone automatically, so old links in tickets are safe.
Step-by-step
Open the Admin Panel and find a company
- In the CRM, click Admin Panel at the top of the left menu.
- You land on Platform Overview — the running totals for the whole platform.
- Click Organizations in the left menu, then type part of the company name into Search by name... at the top right.
- Or narrow the list with the six drop-downs — Status, Plan, Trial, Owner login, Activity and Source — and Clear filters when you are done.
- Click anywhere on a row to open that company's page.
Turn a feature on or off for one company
- Open the company, then click the Modules tab.
- Find the feature in the list — for example Estimates, Power Dialer, Work Orders or Documents Hub.
- Click the switch on the right. It saves straight away; there is no separate Save button.
- Ask the customer to reload their browser. A feature that is off is hidden from their menu and settings entirely.
Give a trial more time
- Open the company. The trial state is shown as a badge next to the company name.
- Click Extend Trial in the buttons at the top right.
- Type how many Days to add (1 to 365).
- Click Extend by N days.
If there is no trial running at all, this starts a fresh one instead of adding to an existing one — so check the badge before you click.
Unlock Pro features without changing what they pay
- Open the company and click Grant Pro access.
- Pick one of the three choices: Upgrade trial to Pro (only available while a trial is running), Time-limited unlock (7, 14, 30 or a number of days you type), or Permanent grant.
- Add a reason, then click Grant Pro access.
- To take it away again, the same button becomes Revoke Pro grant.
This unlocks features only. The company keeps paying its real price and is still subject to the normal chase-up when a payment fails — a grant will not bring a blocked account back to life.
Suspend or reopen a company
- Open the company and click Suspend (or Activate).
- Read the warning. Suspending blocks every one of that company's users from logging in and switches all their office agents off.
- Type your Reason.
- Type SUSPEND (or ACTIVATE) in the confirmation box, then click Confirm.
Delete a company for good
- One company: open it, click Delete Organization, then type DELETE followed by the company's name exactly as shown, and click Permanently Delete.
- Several at once: on Organizations, filter down to what you want (for example Plan set to Past due / canceled), tick the boxes on the left of each row, then click Delete selected (n) and confirm.
The confirmation screen lists what goes with it — jobs, calls, user logins, office agents, messages, workflows, estimates and settings. There is no undo.
How to check it worked
- Feature switched on: the switch stays in its new position after the page settles, and the customer sees the page appear in their menu after a reload.
- Trial extended: the Trial column back on the Organizations list shows the new number of days, and the countdown badge on the company page moves.
- Pro granted: an amber Pro grant badge appears next to the company name with the end date (or "permanent"), and the Plan column in the list reads Pro (Grant).
- Suspended: the status pill next to the name turns red and reads suspended, and the button at the top right changes to Activate.
- Deleted: a message tells you how many were deleted, and the rows vanish from the list. If any failed, the message says so.
- Alert handled: after Resolve, the red banner at the top of the company page loses that line, and the alert count pill on Platform Overview drops by one.
- Prices changed: on the company's Pricing tab the badge switches between Synced and Custom or older, and each row is labelled Same, Different or Below cost.
Common mistakes
Looking for a "New organization" button
There isn't one. Companies are only created when someone signs up or when a trial application is turned into an account. If signup is closed, open it under Settings›New Organization Creation.
Using a Pro grant to unblock an account
A grant unlocks features, it does not pay a bill. An account blocked for non-payment stays blocked. To comp a company completely you need it marked as billing exempt, which shows as Exempt in the Plan column.
Editing the wrong half of a linked pair
A child company on Shared billing has no plan of its own — its page says Billed via parent and hides the plan buttons. Click through to the parent before you change anything about money.
Expecting a global price change to spread
Editing Pricing in the left menu only changes the template new companies start from. Existing companies keep their own price list until you open them and click Sync with global pricing.
Tick boxes plus a filter you forgot
Select all at the top of the list ticks every row currently showing, not every company. Read the count on the red bar and the list of names in the confirmation popup before you delete.
Reading sample data as real usage
New accounts start with demo records. The company page counts Real Leads and Real Calls separately, and the Usage tab keeps demo activity out of the totals. Check Demo Data Active before you judge how busy an account is.

The Organizations list
Five tiles across the top summarise whatever the filters are currently showing: Visible orgs, New signups (created in the last four days), Calls and SMS over the last seven days, and No owner login — owners who have never signed in, which is your best rescue list.
The table itself carries the company number, name, owner, industry, website, team size, status, plan, trial countdown, members, office agents, jobs, calls, texts, phone numbers, where the signup came from, when the owner last logged in, last activity and the created date. Click a column heading with the up-down arrows to sort by it.
What the six filters do
- Status — Active or Suspended.
- Plan — Paid or trialing, Free, Trial, Pro grants, Billing exempt, or Past due / canceled.
- Trial — Active trials, Ending soon, Expired, or No trial.
- Owner login — Never logged in, Has logged in, or Logged in last 7d.
- Activity — Active last 7d, Inactive 30d, or New last 4d.
- Source — where the signup came from, built from the companies on screen.
Export CSV downloads exactly the rows you are looking at, with the full company profile — owner, industry, address, timezone, billing email, counts and dates — as organizations-YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
A small warning triangle next to a company number means its signup did not finish cleanly. A violet Parent or Child tag under the name means it is part of a linked pair, and the name beside it jumps to the other half.
A single company's page
Above the tabs you get the whole picture without clicking anything: status and plan badges, trial countdown, any Pro grant, whether it is linked to another company, and counts for members, office agents, real jobs and real calls.
- Activation overview — a set of signals scored out of five, marked Healthy activation or Needs follow-up, with whether their sample data is still switched on and when it was cleared.
- Alerts — a red banner listing anything unresolved, each with a Resolve button.
- Company Profile (Onboarding Data) — what they typed when they signed up: company name, their Joby web address, legal name, industry, team size, phone, website, full address and timezone. The copy icon next to the web address saves retyping it.
- Terminology — rename the words this company sees. You can set singular and plural for Field Worker, Lead, Office Agent and Company Parts, or flip Use built-in preset to switch to "Technician" and "Job" in one click. Leaving a box empty keeps the default. This changes wording on screen only — exports and connected systems are untouched.
Then eleven tabs:
Members, Agents, Field Workers
Three read-only lists: the logins on the account with their role and join date, the office agents with their status, and the field workers with their contact details.
Phones
Every number on the account with its label and whether it is active.
Integrations
Which outside services this company has connected, whether each is working, and when it was connected.
BYOK
Short for "bring your own keys". Lets a company run on its own phone, AI, mapping and payment accounts instead of Joby's shared ones. Each block has a Disconnect button that puts them back on Joby's.
Modules
The feature switches, plus the AI outbound calling limits. See the next section.
Usage
Split in two. Trial Usage shows what the free allowance covers (10 call minutes, 10 transcript minutes, 50 texts, 30 AI actions) and how much is left. Billing Usage shows paid consumption service by service with cost, revenue and margin. Sample activity is kept out of both.
Pricing
This company's own price list beside the global one. Use Edit custom pricing to set a special rate, Use global to reset one row, or Sync with global pricing to reset the lot.
Billing
Their subscription, every invoice with a View and PDF link, and a log of invoice events. For linked companies this is also where you choose Shared or Separate billing and set the monthly add-on on the parent.
Compliance
The spoken "this call is recorded" message. It is on for every company by default and hidden from the customer's own settings — you change the wording, the voice and which kinds of call it plays on here, then click Save Compliance Settings.
Buttons at the top
Suspend / Activate, Grant Pro access / Revoke Pro grant, Extend Trial, Upgrade to Pro / Downgrade to Starter, and Delete Organization. Some only appear when they apply — Extend Trial is hidden once a company is properly subscribed, and Joby's own master company cannot be deleted.
The Modules tab in detail
At the top sit the AI Outbound Calling Limits: Daily call limit (250 a day by default, and 0 stops AI outbound calls altogether) and Ignore business hours (off by default, so AI calls only go out between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in the company's own timezone). Click Save AI limits after changing these — unlike the switches below, they do not save on their own.
Underneath is the list of features you can switch per company:
- Auto Transport — vehicle shipping quotes and management.
- Estimates — service estimates and invoicing.
- AI Features — the AI agent, voice AI and the usage tracking behind them.
- External Lead Source — jobs passed over by partner companies, with commission.
- Power Dialer — the automatic outbound dialer (a paid add-on).
- Integrations (BYOK) — lets the company plug in its own outside accounts. Off by default.
- Extension Pool — the extension inventory page for heavy phone-masking users. Off by default.
- Documents Hub — the document and template library. Off by default.
- Marketing Beta — email and text campaigns, templates and audiences. On by default, and only ever changed from here.
- Legacy Bulk SMS — keeps the older Bulk SMS page available.
- Developer API — lets the company issue its own access keys. On by default.
- Service Plans — recurring service plans with subscription billing. On by default.
- Linked Companies — lets them create sister companies under the same billing owner. On by default.
- Square Payments — the Square connection. On by default.
- Google Reviews — automatic review requests with a click-through dashboard. On by default.
- CompanyCam — jobsite photos on the job page. On by default.
- Google Calendar — pushes scheduled jobs one way into a Google Calendar. On by default.
- Work Orders — turns a won estimate into a work order for the crew. On by default.
- Tap to Pay — taking card payments on a phone in person. On by default.
- Lead Expenses (item-cost sync) — copies item costs from estimates into job costs and profit reports. On by default.
Switching something off hides it completely — the menu item, the tabs and the buttons all disappear for that company.
Platform Settings (everybody at once)
Admin Panel›Settings. These affect the whole platform, so treat them with more care than a single company's switches. Each one shows when it was last changed.
- Trial Duration — how many days a new signup gets, 1 to 90. Only affects people who sign up after you save it.
- Credit Card Required — whether a card is needed before a trial starts.
- New Organization Creation — on means anyone can sign up; off sends new visitors to an application form instead, which lands on the Applications page.
- Require Work Email — blocks personal email addresses during signup.
- Credit auto-reload — the safety net that tops companies' credit up automatically every half hour. Switch it off during an incident to pause every automatic top-up at once. Each company's own preference is left alone.
- Joby Pay default fee — what Joby adds on top of card processing, entered in basis points (50 = 0.50%). A company-level override on its own page still wins.
- Brand Assets and Hero Carousel Images — the logos and homepage pictures used on Joby's public site.
What gets recorded
Sensitive actions are written down as you take them. Suspending or reopening a company insists on a reason and a typed confirmation word before it will go through. Granting Pro access has a reason box marked "goes to audit log". Deleting anything asks you to type the exact phrase, and the bulk version lists every company by name and number before it starts.
There is no browsable history screen inside the Admin Panel today. If you need to prove who changed what, the record has to be pulled by Joby's engineering team. Until then, treat the reason boxes as the only explanation your colleagues will ever see — write them properly.
Why one company never sees another
Every company's jobs, calls, messages and settings are walled off from every other company. A customer login can only ever reach its own data, no matter what address it tries. The Admin Panel is the single exception, and it is the reason access to it is limited to Joby staff logins.
Two companies can be deliberately joined into a linked pair — a parent and a child under the same billing owner. Even then, their working data stays separate; only the plan, usage allowance and credits are shared, and only when the child is set to Shared on its Billing tab.
